AQE AI Deployment Qualification

About AQE

AQE is built and run by John Akinmade in the United Kingdom.

Who builds it

John Akinmade is a systems analyst who has worked for over two decades across financial services, retail and government. His work has centred on business process modelling: documenting how organisations' systems are supposed to work, and finding where documentation and reality part company.

He came to AI governance through hardware research rather than an AI background. That route shaped the main design choice behind AQE and its sister product CLEARANCE.

The design choice

There is no AI model in the decision. AQE applies fixed, versioned rules to your answers. The same answers always produce the same verdict, and every report carries fingerprints for the ruleset and the decision, so anyone can recompute the result and see that nothing was changed.

That matters because the point of an assessment is that someone else can rely on it. A result that changes each time it is run cannot be checked.

Two products, one approach

AQE qualifies an AI use case before it goes live. CLEARANCE checks AI that is already live against named obligations. Both use the same rules-based approach.
