Terms of Service

What you're buying, and what it isn't.

Plain terms, no small print designed to surprise you.

Last updated: July 2026

Who you're dealing with

AQE is provided by John Akinmade, trading as AQE, based in the United Kingdom. Questions: john@akinmade.co.uk.

What you're buying

AQE is a fixed-rules qualification engine. You answer structured questions about a proposed AI deployment, and you get back a Qualification Certificate and supporting Evidence Book showing whether the deployment is qualified, qualified with conditions, or not qualified, and why.

This is not legal advice. AQE identifies evidence gaps against named frameworks and fixed thresholds. It does not constitute legal or regulatory advice, and it does not guarantee that any regulator, insurer, board, or court will accept any particular outcome. It gives you an accurate, evidenced qualification position based on the answers you provide.

Paying and getting your certificate

You pay a fixed price, shown before you check out. Your certificate is generated in your browser and downloadable immediately after payment. You don't need an account.

Refunds

Because your certificate is generated specifically for you the moment you pay, we can't offer refunds once it's been generated, except where the law requires it or where something went wrong on our end and your certificate failed to generate properly. If that happens, email us and we'll sort it out.

Your information

We collect the information you give us in order to build your certificate. We don't sell it. Full detail on what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights is in our Privacy Policy.

Who owns what

The AQE method, the qualification rules it checks against, and the certificate format belong to us. The certificate we generate for you is yours to use inside your organisation. You can't resell it or pass it off as an official certificate issued by a regulator or accreditation body, because it isn't one. AQE is an independent qualification engine, not an accredited certification body, and does not hold formal accreditation from UKAS or any equivalent scheme.

No guarantees

AQE is provided as it is. We don't promise it will catch every possible readiness gap in your organisation, or that a "Qualified" or "Qualified with Conditions" verdict will satisfy every law or regulation that applies to your deployment. If something does go wrong, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for the certificate in question.

Fair use

Use AQE honestly. Don't submit unlawful content, don't try to take the qualification engine apart, and don't present your certificate as something a regulator or accreditation body issued.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. If you keep using AQE after an update, that means you accept the new terms. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.

Law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
